Boho Is Back—But Make it Elevated
Boho Is Back—But Make It Elevated
With so many trends making a comeback lately, I have to admit—some I just can’t embrace. I was born in the '80s and grew up surrounded by vintage grunge and awkward teen fashion choices. So when WGSN announced that the boho aesthetic is trending again, I was genuinely excited about it.
If you’re familiar with my work, you’ll know there’s always a hint of nostalgia running through it. It’s something I’m naturally drawn to, and I think it resonates with people on an emotional level. As WGSN put it:
"Like its cottagecore cousin, boho romanticises a connection to the natural world with an added element of nostalgia. It offers a commercial, familiar aesthetic that people can invest in and also aligns with the continued growth of resale and vintage."
This is Elevated Boho—richer tones, layered textures, and a quiet confidence. Think turmeric, deep plum, and olive; washed silks, vintage florals, and raw cottons. It’s nostalgic but not throwback. Romantic without being sweet. Earthy, but considered.
Enjoy these boho treats—and explore the Elevated Boho catalogue, where I’ve gathered prints that speak to this feeling.

Textiles Trending in Elevated Boho
1. Hand-Drawn Paisleys & Vintage Florals
Paisley prints are making a major return, reimagined with artisan flair and jewel-toned depth. Think oversized teardrop motifs and vintage florals in rich tones like deep plum and turmeric. Designers showcased two-tone paisleys on midi slip dresses for Summer 2025—elegant and nostalgic, as seen on recent runways and highlighted in trend forecasts from sources like Brunette from Wall Street and Homes & Gardens.
2. Nature-Inspired Leafy & Botanical Patterns
Prints with natural motifs—leaves, branches, and wild florals—are especially strong this season. According to My Textile Fabric's 2025 forecast, these are often paired with uneven dye effects, stone-wash finishes, and raw-edge textures to create a grounded, artisanal vibe. They work beautifully on slub cotton or muslin for a tactile, relaxed feel.
3. Romantic Watercolor Florals & Pastel Blooms
Soft, dreamy florals in pastel gradients—reminiscent of cottagecore and nostalgic summer blooms—are making a strong return. These delicate patterns are especially popular on smooth or semi-sheer fabrics like chiffon and voile, giving garments an ethereal, romantic quality that fits seamlessly into the elevated boho narrative, as seen in recent trend forecasts.
4. Distorted Geometrics & Modern Classics
Classical motifs—like toile, gingham, plaids, stripes—are being reinterpreted with artistic twists: distorted geometry, color shifts, and playful scales. Jewel tones (emerald, sapphire, mustard) and simplified two-tone prints give paisley a sleek, updated feel—ideal for contemporary boho slip dresses and tailored pieces .
5. Textural Resist & Tie-Dye Effects
Resist-dye techniques—like Indian Dabu printing—with mud-resist and natural indigo create crackle effects and rich layering. Tie-dye and stone-wash finishes give fabrics depth and rustic beauty. These bring handcrafted, sustainable narratives to elevated boho prints.
6. Paisley with Modern Twist & Jewel Hues
Paisley gets an upscale revival through modern color stories. Jewel tones (emerald, sapphire, mustard) and simplified two-tone prints give paisley a sleek, updated feel—ideal for contemporary boho slip dresses and tailored pieces .
