Why print brings meaning to our lives

I woke up in my favourite PJs today.

They have the most beautiful print, something I bought for myself some time ago and reach for constantly. The fact that I love them so genuinely brings meaning into my daily life. And as a mid-40s mum of two little ones, PJs have become the best replacement for party dresses.

But it got me thinking about why they bring so much meaning. They are just PJs, after all.

It's the fabric, beautiful, soothing against my skin. And it's the print, crafted by another artisan's hand. Print sparks joy. It's a form of art that carries human connection and shared experience into your wardrobe.

Which made me want to share the inspiration behind one of my favourite prints in this collection.

The Fallen Camellia Print

When I designed this print, I was walking in my local neighbourhood and fell in love with the camellias littering the pavement.

I was alone, but sharing something universal, a joy for the ever-changing moments in nature. That's what we buy when we buy print. Connection. A shared language. Meaning.

AI can generate a floral. But AI will never walk over fallen flowers, see the changing seasons, or feel what we feel when we experience nature.

As a creative, I spend my days finding meaning. And it's the small moments that bring it, walking in nature, making something by hand, time with someone we love, wearing something that makes us feel wonderful.

I hope you enjoy these prints as much as I did in creating them. And I truly look forward to seeing what you make.

The QC is available now.
